WHAT TO EXPECT
Guided by Dr. Kristi, this program is open to just 13 veterinarians, veterinary students, and wildlife enthusiasts. Over 12 unforgettable days, you’ll gain unparalleled insights into Namibia’s conservation challenges while making a tangible impact on species survival.
Undertaking hands-on training with Africa’s leading wildlife vets, including Dr. Brendan Tindall and Dr. Fabiola Quesada, you’ll contribute to vital research, veterinary care, and community-driven conservation efforts.

Namibia is a global conservation leader, home to the world’s largest cheetah population and vital black rhino habitats. Despite its successes, these species face increasing threats from poaching and habitat loss. Your work will directly support Namibia’s innovative Conservancy Model, which empowers local communities to protect their wildlife heritage.
Program Schedule:
Day 1-2: Arrival and orientation with Dr Kristi and team, followed by foundational lectures on wildlife medicine
Day 3-9: Rhino dehorning, cheetah health monitoring, anti-poaching activities, and community engagement
Day 10-14: Optional Etosha safari, guided by conservation experts
ACCOMODATION & MEALS
Lodging: Stay at the historic Mount Etjo Safari Lodge, situated in the Okonjati Game Reserve. Surrounded by over 8,000 animals, this sanctuary offers a perfect blend of comfort and conservation.
Meals: Prepared by a private caterer, meals feature a mix of African and international cuisines. Special dietary needs can be accommodated with advance notice.
INCLUDED SUPPORT
Transportation: All in-country transport, including airport transfers and field site travel, is fully arranged.
Field Activities: All veterinary supplies, permits, and helicopter time are included.
Support Team: A full-time teaching veterinary and conservation team will guide and mentor you throughout the trip.
